Private tutor in Olympia, WA
Education
Associate of Arts Spokane Falls Community College, Junior Bachelor of Science at The Evergreen State College.
Experience
I've tutored my friends informally, but never professionally before. SAT Scores: Math 680, Writing 610, Reading 800. SAT Subject Tests: Math Level II 700, Physics 730, World History 760. I've taken just about every math class offered in Washington high schools. Calculus, trigonometry, statistics, et cetera. For the sciences, I specialize in Physics and Astronomy, but also enjoy geology, earth sciences, biology, anatomy, and electrical engineering. I can also tutor geography and the social sciences. Those were my specialty in Knowledge Bowl in high school, and I've studied them extensively. Throughout my years of college and high school, I've written innumerable essays and have a fairly good grasp of most major citation styles. (MLA, Chicago, APA, etc.) I'd like to be a tutor because I enjoy teaching, but don't plan on becoming a teacher as a career after college. I have tutored my peers in the past when they needed help with their classes, and seemed to do well at it.
