Last year I had a class that required me to write a 5 page essay every other week, and if I wasn't writing an essay I was critiquing several other students essays. From this I learned how to help other students better their essays. I learned how to give helpful critiques that allow the author to write a better essay while holding on to their own voice. I believe that I could transfer the skills I acquired from this experience to a job as a tutor. I received a 26 on the ACT, and was within the top 1 percent of the country in writing and reading. My math and science brought down my overall score. I took AP British Literature as a junior in high school, and I believe that my score was a 4 on the test.
